Trimine's Good Vibrations CD SAADC ONYX TT CGC
Chime was born in September of 1991, the offspring of two of my favorite border collies; Cando’s Reactor (Dandy), owned by Kevin Hughes, and Nobel’s Highland Fling, owned by Barb Brown. I got to watch the litter from the day they were born and was fortunate to get the puppy I wanted when it came time for me to choose. Chime was chosen to be my flyball and agility dog and the foundation of Cymbrogi Kennels, roles she has fulfilled very well. |

TEMPERAMENT
Chime is a sweet, affectionate dog that loves to work. She is very biddable and has a soft nature. Having said that, she is also bombproof. Very little bothers her. She once had a 20 piece pipe and drum band start up 10 feet from her and did not react to it at all. Chime helps to train the new dogs in flyball to run with other dogs. As a house pet, Chime is ideal. She is very quiet around the house. She is my shadow, sleeping beside my bed and keeping me company at the computer, and sentinel at the bathroom door. |

STRUCTURE
Chime is a moderate well-structured dog. She has nice shoulder layback with a balanced rear. She moves with very little effort with good reach and drive. Her good structure has allowed her to continue to compete in flyball well into her 13th year. She ran in her retirement tournament on May 14 & 15, 2005. And only her poorly trained weave pools have stopped her agility career. When she was 2 years old I took her to a structure and movement seminar conducted by Betty McHugh. Betty stated that Chime was one of the nicest border collies she had ever measured.

TITLES
Obedience: Chime obtained her CD title in one weekend out. From the Novice A class, she placed High in Class in all 4 trials on the weekend, plus she twice placed HIGH IN TRIAL. From there we went to compete in the first ever HIT of HITs put on by the Bytown Obedience Club in Ottawa. Chime placed third in the novice class.
Agility: Chime was a superb agility dog. Unfortunately, I am not a superb trainer (too lazy). Her foundation training was lacking, so she has very poor weave pole performance and her contacts leave a lot to be desired. Even so, we managed to obtain an SAADC title with the AAC. At that point I decided to retire her.
Flyball: Chime retired from flyball after competing in veterans in July 2006 at 14 1/2 years of age. At this tournament she consistently ran 6.8 seconds and never once let her team down. Up till her 15 birthday Chime continued to come out to practice to help train green dogs and handlers. Chime earned her Onyx when she was 13 years old.
Frisbee: Chime is an avid frisbee dog. Unfortunately, she was in her prime before Disc Dog competitions became available in Canada. Even so, I did do some vault training with her when she was younger. A disc dog competitor in Florida who saw her said he was glad he didn’t have to compete against her. At 16 Chime still enjoys tracking down and returning rollers with great enthusiasm.
